Located in the heart of the Granville Entertainment District, the new venue takes over the former Empire Granville 7 theatres site across from the iconic Commodore Ballroom.

Vancouver Rec Room Opening 2024

The Rec Room Granville is designed to be a major addition to Vancouver’s vibrant nightlife. The entertainment space spans over 45,000 square feet and spread across three levels.

Set to open at the end of November, this will be the second Rec Room location in Metro Vancouver, following the first location at Burnaby’s Brentwood, which opened in 2021.

What to Expect

The first floor will feature a 75-seat bar surrounded by TV screens for live sports screenings. It also has a massive LED screen wall that will serve as the backdrop for live bands, DJs, comedic performances, trivia nights, and other exciting events.

In addition to that, it will have a 160-seat full-service restaurant that will expand onto the sidewalk, creating a fun outdoor patio space during the summer.

On the second floor, guests can dive into a world of arcade games. There will be over 75 machines, including some of the latest high-tech games.

Not only that, but there will be interactive experiences like darts and axe-throwing, both enhanced with augmented reality.

The basement level promises a tropical escape with “The Palms,” a mini golf course.

It will feature a nine holes course, cabana-style seating, live music, and a menu of Mexican food and drinks. With its vibrant atmosphere and whimsical touches, such as a faux golf cart for photo ops, this space is set to become a unique downtown destination.
