Sunshine Coast Hikes
Cliff Gilker Park
Find this hidden gem nestled in Robert’s Creek—in between Gibsons and Sechelt. It’s an easy 2 km route that only takes about an hour to complete round trip. Throughout the network of trails you can hear the rushing waters of the multiple waterfalls in the area.
Hidden Grove Trails
While this is more of a leisurely trail walk, it’s worth exploring. It’s a popular spot to practice the Japanese art of ‘Forest Bathing.’ It’s quiet, serene and has a plethora of little trails to walk through. It’s located just north of Sechelt and has tons of enormous Douglas firs.
Mount Daniel
Don’t skip leg day—this is a more challenging hike that’ll give your legs quite the workout. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with unsurpassed views of Pender Harbour. The 5 km trek takes about 2.5-hours to complete and has an elevation gain of 360-meters.
Skookumchuck Narrows
This awesome spot is located near Egmont. Here you can see the rushing rapids and whirlpools of the tidal waters flowing between the Sechelt Inlet and Jervis Inlet. The 8 km hike has minimal elevation gain and takes about 2-hours to complete.
Soames Hill
This intermediate hike in Gibsons gives you amazing views looking towards Keats Island and the Strait of Georgia. At only 2 km, this trek is short but sweet. It also has a steep set of stairs to get your workout in for the day.
