Wanderlust Festival (August 1-4, annual)
Experience the world’s leading yoga and meditation instructors, musicians, speakers, chefs and more at the annual Wanderlust Festival in Whistler! Only a couple hours’ drive from Vancouver, Whistler is a fantastic day-trip or overnight option before coming back into the city. SeaWheeze Sunset Festival (August 17)
While lululemon’s SeaWheeze half-marathon is sold out for registration, the event’s Sunset Festival at Stanley Park is the perfect place to get in on festival’s the incredible energy of the day. Popular American DJ Kaskade is headlining the music lineup, and world-renowned yoga teacher Baron Baptiste will kick the evening off with a yoga practice that will keep the good vibes flowing into the night. Railtown Tailgate Barbecue (August 18)
Have you lived if you haven’t had good barbecue? Get your appetites ready, because the popular Railtiown Cafe is bringing back their Tailgate Barbecue Series! The Railtown Cafe will roll out a custom-built, 12-foot barbecue barrel for the highly anticipated food events, where barbecue-lovers will be able to chow down on perfectly grilled meats and flavourful sides. Handloggers Half Marathon (August 31)
Run for the hills of Bowen Island for a day trip and get your cardio in! This mountain trail run is a challenging 21km counter clockwise loop around the island’s Mt. Gardner.
