But this one is all about the journey to get there. It’s a lesser-known spot that is quite a bit of a trek (you’ll need a boat)—but totally worth it.
Much like its name suggests, the hot springs are next to the scenic and vibrant Pitt River. To get there—you have to drive along Lougheed Highway towards Pitt Meadows and eventually Pitt Lake. Then it’s a 45-minute boat ride to the north end dock, followed by just over 20 kms of biking on a flat logging road.
From there, it’s a short 5-minute hike, with a steep rope descent to the hot springs. Once you arrive—you’ll be able to soak up the natural benefits hot springs have to offer in one of the most beautiful settings our province has to offer.
Relax at this little slice of heaven, that overlooks the Pitt River cutting through a canyon. It truly is a secluded and magical spot that is perfect for those looking for an adventure.
The journey may be a bit long, but it makes the destination that much better. Sometimes the road less traveled is the best road to take.
