Lindeman Lake
A small but scenic lake located in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park that’s just a little over a 2-hour drive from Vancouver. The gorgeous spot is also a popular hiking destination as it’s located at the end of an easy 3.4-km trail.
Harrison Lake
It’s the largest lake in the southern Coast Mountains of Canada, and is perfect for going swimming or boating. To bring out the inner kid in you, check out the Wipeout-style waterpark located in the middle of the lake. The floating park has many obstacles and attractions that catapult you into the water. Harrison is only a 2.5-hour drive away from the city.

Okanagan Lake
The 135-km long lake can be found in the Okanagan Valley, about a 4-hour drive from Vancouver. It’s known for its stunning beaches with over 30 in the area. Take out a stand-up paddleboard, kayak or snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the secluded bays.
Garibaldi Lake
One of BC’s most popular hiking and camping destinations. The turquoise-coloured waters of Garibaldi Lake are definitely worth the road trip out here. It’s located 19-kms south of Whistler and 37-kms north of Squamish. As for Vancouver, you can reach Garibaldi Provincial Park in about an hour-and-a-half.
Emerald Lake
The breathtaking lake is the largest of Yoho National Park’s 61 lakes and ponds. Yoho National Park is a magical place everyone must visit at least once. Glide through the serene waters by canoe and take in all the beautiful surroundings. It’s about an 8-hour drive from Vancouver.
Joffre Lakes
Discover the magical Joffre Lakes Provincial Park just 35-kms east of Pemberton. There’s three glacier-fed lakes known as lower, middle and upper Joffre Lakes. It’s about a 2.5-hour drive away from Vancouver. There’s lots of hiking trails and places to pitch up a tent with epic views of the area.
Cultus Lake
An hour-and-a-half away from Vancouver, this Fraser Valley lake is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the summer days. Go swimming, camping or take part in a variety of fun water activities in the lake.
