Schedule
The Northern Trust
When: Aug. 19-22
Where: Liberty National Golf Course, Jersey City, New Jersey
Field: Top 125 on points list
Defending champion: Dustin Johnson
The TOUR returns to Liberty National for the fourth time, with stunning views of New York sure to steal the show. Patrick Reed emerged victorious two years ago at this track, with Johnson blowing away the field by 11 shots last year when the event was in Boston.
BMW Championship
When: Aug. 26-29
Where: Caves Valley Golf Club, Owings Mills, Maryland
Field: Top 70 on points list
Defending champion: Jon Rahm
The top 70 players after the Northern Trust will tee it up in the BMW Championship.
The tournament heads to Caves Valley this season, but the scenes from the 18th green at last year's event at Olympia Fields are still etched in everyone's mind. Jon Rahm made an outrageous 66-foot curling putt to claim victory over Johnson in epic fashion.
This is the first time the TOUR heads to Caves Valley and represents the first event in the Baltimore area in almost 60 years.
Tour Championship
When: Sept. 2-5
Where: East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia
Field: Top 30 on points list
Defending champion: Dustin Johnson
For the third year in a row, the Tour Championship will use a modified leaderboard to reward players with higher positions on the FedEx Cup points list. Last year, Xander Schauffele actually posted the lowest 72-hole score at East Lake but was unable to overcome Johnson, who entered play with a two-stroke advantage thanks to his No. 1 spot in the rankings.
Here's how the leaderboard will look heading into the opening round of the Tour Championship.
