AERIS, A Female-Driven Sports Drama Is In The Works

by Blog Updates |

Now live on Indiegogo and created by former pro rider Lukas Huffman, AERIS is a film project about female professional snowboarders. Supported by some of snowboarding’s leading ladies including the TOO HARD film crew, Spencer O’Brien, Marie-France Roy, and Danyale Patterson, the crew needs your help to bring the film to fruition. Read more and support the project on Indiegogo for a grip of awesome rewards, as well as the chance to help create and tell an important part of snowboarding’s story to the world.

From the director:

AERIS is a synthesis of stories I was told or experienced first-hand during my 10-year career as a professional snowboarder. These are voices from the fringes of mainstream culture about disruption, resilience and a life driven by passion for one thing; snowboarding.

The female lead characters in our story are too raw and too real for the Hollywood system. They are not traditional role models, they are powerful women who live heroic lives.

We know there’s an audience who wants a new hero. We’re not going to let Hollywood norms stop us from sharing this unique perspective on professional sports. We can’t do it without your support and participation— we invite you into a growing community of people who will help bring this young woman’s inspiring story to the world.
